Radon Testing
What Is Radon And Why Do I Need A Radon Test?
Radon is a radioactive gas that is a byproduct of uranium. As radon decays it releases decay products that can be damaging to the lungs if breathed in. When purchasing a home a radon measurement test should be performed to determine the level of radon consistently present.
The EPA actionable level of radon gas is 4.0 pCi/L. If the level tested is at or above this level a radon mitigation system may be required to ensure safe indoor air quality. Colorado is an area of high indoor radon level potential. The Denver Metro Area, including but not limited to, Aurora, Denver, Littleton, Parker, Commerce City, Westminster are all areas covered for radon testing by Iron Phoenix Inspections that are at risk for high radon level concentrations.
